Robert Furmage has a first-class degree in Forensic Chemistry from the University of South Wales, obtained in 2014.  In 2013 he started working for a pharmaceutical R&D company in Wales, as the Senior Scientist responsible for analytical method development, primarily involving UPLC and LC-MS/MS.  He was involved in several large development projects working alongside large multinational pharmaceutical companies.  In 2016 he moved to Somerset and took up the position of Analytical Chemist at Micron Bio-Systems where he is now responsible for all analytical testing and method development.  His role within the BovMycoTox project is to conduct all the mycotoxin analyses and develop new methods for the detection of mycotoxin metabolites using LC-MS/MS.
